Because people actually buy the iphone for the music power it has the app store has recently been bombarded with apps for the people that love specific forms of music and instruments. I only really got it so I would have a bit of room in my pockets, now I realise what an awesome phone I really have,.

There are now several different apps that are available to download for fans of Guitars as well as the fans of things like Rock Band. There is actually a Rock Band app out there for £5.99 which is easily going to be a lot more expensive than if you were to pay for it in America. Everything that you can do in the game can be done in this app from playing the drums and guitar to singing although this involves tapping and not singing. There is even a possibility that you can download a few extra songs just like you can in the game, more money for the big companies.

Although there are many free options that you can choose to download, the paid ones are better simply because more time and effort has gone into making them. There are much cheaper options out there on the app store with many of them being just as good as the Rock Band one.

Fir fans of Acoustic Guitars or Bass Guitars then there are guitar tuning apps for you and most of which are actually free.

Other apps provide you with information on the instruments as well as some even offering quizzes. These quizzes are quite funny to play with a couple of friends either local or over Wi-Fi, many of the questions are challenging and you will need your inner rock god for them.

Why not think about going into the app stor and looking for an app that may suit your guitar needs.

10. iTalk

A reporter’s best champion, but also indispensable for anyone who wants to dictate memos or memorialise other audible stuff on their cell phone. The app is little more than a large, red RECORD button on your iPhone screen; push it to capture audio in the high-quality AIFF format. What makes iTalk especially cool is the free, companion iTalkSynch application, which you download to your computer. That program can “sniff” the audio files on your iPhone and download them to your PC, via Wi-Fi. Now all we need is an app to do perfect voice-to-text translations.

9. SayWhere
You get used to typing on the iPhone after some time, but punching in addresses to locate directions is by far the biggest drag. DialDirections was the first to introduce speech-recognition capabilities to the iPhone with SayWhere, which translates users’ speech into queries for Google Maps, Yelp, Traffic or Yellow Pages. It’s a nifty app, especially for keeping drivers’ eyes on the road rather than the iPhone’s virtual keyboard.

8. Tweetie
Twitter, a new form of micro-blogging, became more legitimate when it broke the news of the deadly Mumbai attacks. And Tweetie is the best app we’ve found to follow your Twitter friends. The app neatly separates Twitter feeds into categories, and the interface resembles the bubbly iChat interface that most of us have come to love. It even lets you search Twitter and save those searches for later.

7. Ocarina

Some genius figured out how to use the microphone on the iPhone as an air-flow sensor now we’ve got a virtual ocarina, albeit not potato-shaped. Hold the phone up to your lips and blow; four “holes” appear on your touch screen allowing you to play almost any scale (which you select under Settings). Share your tunes with other Ocarina players around the world, or just set the app to listen to their masterworks.

6. Shazam
Everyone’s familiar with this scenario: You hear a really catchy, unfamiliar song on the stereo and you have no idea what it’s called. You hum it to yourself repeatedly and attempt to remember the lyrics, only to forget it after slamming a few shots at the bar. Shazam will never leave you struggling to recollect these thoughts again: Hold the iPhone up to a speaker playing the unknown tune and the app will identify it album, artist and song title just like that.

5. AP Mobile News Network

The Associated Press’s news-on-demand app is the gold standard. It gives you top news stories, as well as business, sports, show biz and other categories, which you can sort by most recent or most read. It even uses the phone’s GPS chip to deliver up local news.

4. TapTapRevenge
You’d have to be living on a different planet (or a retirement home) if you haven’t heard of Guitar Hero, the game that gets players to twitch their fingers compulsively along with the beat of their favorite songs. Developer Tapulous took the same idea to make an extremely addictive rhythm game called Tap Tap Revenge. Tapping blinking lights on a screen to catch songd isn’t exactly the same as rocking out on plastic guitars and drum pads, but it’s still highly addictive. And Tap Tap Revenge is so popular it’s even offering the option to download new tracks to tap to, similar to Guitar Hero and Rock Band’s music stores.

3. AroundMe

Simplicity makes this app a must-carry for the road warrior. Like the name applies, it list all the critical services around you banks, coffee shops, bars, gas stations, hospitals, movie theaters, restaurants and so on. Using geolocation, the app orders each service by its proximity to you how many yards away and, like other apps aimed at the traveler, maps out a route from here to there, if requested. It also creates a contact page for every entry, which you can save to your own contacts list.

2. Pandora
Pandora’s alternative music distribution made this happen, and the app is cool as hell on the iPhone. Add a station for an artist you like, and the app will play that artist’s music as well as similar tunes you might like. What better way to find new music with the wealth of new bands out there?

1. Google Earth
When Steve Jobs called the iPhone “Your world in your pocket,” he probably didn’t expect Google to deliver the world in your pocket. Well, virtually. Displaying satellite imagery around the world in a 3-D globe, Google Earth is one of the most accurate, mind-blowing apps that truly show off the powers of the iPhone. If you want to impress your grandmother with a demonstration of just how far technology has come since she was a girl, this ought to do the trick.

After you download a new software application and decide you need a cell phone skin or cell phone charger. AwsWireless.com offer quality cell phone accessories you can trust.

Cigar Box Guitar – Goin to Brownsville

I’ve been playing, or should I say learning, the guitar for over thirty years but I’ve only recently discovered the fun that can be had with a simple cigar box guitar.

If you don’t know what a cigar box guitar is I shall explain. A cigar box guitar is simply a basic guitar made using a wooden cigar box as the resonant body. They tend to be home made instruments that use a cigar box as the resonator in the same way that an acoustic guitar uses its resonant body to make the guitar sound.

Back in the 19th century cigar smoking was far more popular than it is today. They began to be packaged in wooden boxes from around the middle of the 19th century and there are etchings of civil war soldiers sitting at a campsite where one of them is playing a fiddle made from a cigar box.

It’s quite simple to turn a cigar box into a basic guitar using a length of wood and a few tuning pegs and this is why they became a popular form of folk instrument. The simplest of cigar box guitars may only have one string, but they are more commonly made with three strings and no frets. Fretting the steel strings would be achieved using a bottleneck or a piece of animal bone.

Cigar box based musical instruments are a traditional form of fok instrument made from rubbish such as empty cans or cigar boxes. In recent years many people have discovered the fun that can be had playing and building home made guitars and other instruments. And its not essential that you use a cigar box to make home made musical instruments. Many builders of cigar box guitars use other boxes for the resonator including biscuit tins oil drums and childrens lunch boxes.

So if you are struggling with complex chords on your six string guitar why not put it to one side and get yourself a three string cigar box guitar and get back to some roots music.

Although this is something that I did not manage to do on purpose it was a complete accident and I am now suffering from it.

I had first dropped my iPhone onto the floor in which I was immediatly called up for a meeting. Once back from the meeting I had forgotten about the phone so i sat on my chair and slid to my desk. I had thought I has run over something but wasnt sure if it was just the floor or not so I carried on. It was certainly not just the floor.

After looking for my phone at a later stage I realised that it was on the floor and picked it up to give it the once over, everything seemed to be working fine until I looked at the back of it. The reason it cannot work is because it has become cracked just where the charger goes in so I cannot charge it. Another problem is that I had no way of getting a new one because I didn’t have iPhone insurance.

Because the iPhone has been my companion over the past few months I do not feel that I could have any other phone to do the job. I am going to have to go out and spend a lot of money to get another one. Perhaps because I am on contract they will give me a bit of a discount but I can’t see much sympathy coming from them when I haven’t for any insurance of any kind, even that gadget insurance would have sorted me out.

I am now going to go out and get I-pod insurance as there is no way I am ever taking this kind of risk again. To go out and replace all of the things I have broken over the past few months is impossible.

Only a few days after the release of the Dishy App, it has become the most popular and fastest selling app there is in the app store. Essentially, Dishy promises to help make cooking easier and is billed as a recipe book, shopping list and a step by step guide to cooking a meal all in one go. There are multiple recipes which are developed by a chef and are made searchable by your diet, ingredients and are measured in metric or imperial cooking time. You can basically choose what ever you like! It makes a huge difference from just getting another recipe out of food books. This has aalot of really useful confectionery recipe ideas for people like students and people in a hurry for example!

The user will choose one or more dishes to cook and then choose with how many. Dishy then creates an interactive shopping list on your iphone that can be ticked off as you walk around the shopping mall. The app itself guides the user through the cooking process one step at a time and you can manually flick in between the menus. Timing is everything for the app itself and it will have a built in timer and alarm depending on which dish you are trying to cook. This app is really ground breaking for the culinary world and I think this could offer people a different way to prepare their meals in the future. Technology is moving so fast on the iphone especially and this is just a fantastic idea. The application is available for purchase from the app store at just £1.79 for a very short period of time. The normal price will then be moving to £2.99 soon. The app also requires the iphone 2.2.1 software update.

At the moment I do not own an iphone as such yet I can not wait to get one as soon as it comes out on Orange!

More and more people try their luck at selling on eBay everyday. With entirely of that growth contention it is authoritative that you exercise everything potential to make sure that you stand out from the herd. Aside chase a few uncomplicated steps you can greatly better the odds of your auction existence noticed, that browsers will exchange to bidders, and that those bidders will get duplicate customers. Begin practicing the follow seven tips and watch your eBay auction sales explode.

1. Inundate your potential buyers with details!

It is often better to offer a lot instead than a fiddling info and this will as well be a bang-up chance for you to pepper your list description with keywords. Do be sure, however, that your auction listing is informative and not filled with hype. Those extra exclamation points really aren’t going to make the sale.
Actually, they will only make you look unprofessional. Besides, apply your readers inside information as capture such as models numeral, item consideration, color, sizing, etc.

2. Include the keywords and phrases in your title!

The title may not seem like a vital part of the equation, but it really is of great importance. It is the first thing people see when browsing through the auctions, so it has to not only grab their attention, but also entice them to click. Do not enter you title in ALL CAPS. This will only make you look like an amateur.
Include as applicable; keywords, model numbers, seating information, brand names, item size, color, etc.

3. Include a picture/graphics in every listing!

A picture is worth a thousand bids. Okay, well maybe not a thousand, but it will certainly help your item sell. Think about it; would you buy something sight unseen? Of course not and neither will the majority of buyers on eBay. Be sure to take care when photographing your item. Lesser prime photos are but as badly as no pictures at totally, simply if you have the resources, you should make it aspect effective as it is to be sold. Also, the more expensive the items; the more photos you should provide.

4. State all of your requirements upfront!

Say potency bidders how much you specify to charge for transportation, to which countries you are willing to ship, if you will take on returns, or anything else that you might want to assign. You really can’t make things up as you go along. You have to get all requirements out there at the beginning.

5. Respond to questions promptly!

If a potential buyer contacts you with a call into question then be certain to quick answer. If you wait you may lose a much needed bidder. Also, be sure to be polite in your response as no question is too stupid to warrant anything other than but a courteous reply. Even if that person doesn’t bid on your item they will for certain think your pleasant position and that could mean a future tense sale.

6. Accept PayPal payments!

The majority of buyers on eBay prefer to pay for their purchase via PayPal. That is why it is vital for you to accept this method of payment. On-line payments these years are more good, making it improve to trade in something without high up risks of getting scammed. It is also beneficial to you as it eliminates the potential for bad checks or money orders.

7. Follow-up with your customer!

After the sale most winning bidders will expect the seller to begin the completion of the transaction. Send an email, an invoice, alert the buyer when the item has shipped, and be sure to leave feedback after the transaction.

Making money with ebay is really a feat in the real world. Just an exclusion in the on-line globe comes eBay, check to bring in a living or barely having to bring up your monthly earnings will make the best of it. It is an online community, your reputation is always important as eBay has its own system in rating people’s integrity as a buyer or seller. Follow these easy steps and see your money flow!

The last, dont forget to visit easy way to make money online and check also oes tsetnoc

Not so long ago the first landline phones were released, these phones used finger dialling and they took the world by storm, people were able to communicate with people in other countries. But as everything these phones began to develop calls got a lot clearer and we could call overseas locations for a lot less.

But suddenly the mobile phones were released and they caused a huge amount of industry buzz. Technology is just progressing at high speeds in these handsets, and mobile phones now let us connect to the internet, take image shots and shoot videos. The calls are also getting a lot cheaper and you can get signal almost any where in the world.

Do we actually really need landlines anymore? I think both yes and no is the answer for this question for quite a few reasons which we will now look at:

1) Businesses need to strictly have access to land lines, because they need to transfer, track and record calls all the time. Although mobile phones are good I do not think they can be used for business reasons.

2) From another point of view, do we really need landline access at home anymore? I mean mobile phone calls are getting a huge amount cheaper so why get a landline? The thing about landlines is that they only work in specific locations you cant be too far away from the hand unit otherwise the signal will drop, besides that they constantly need charging otherwise their batteries will cut out.

In the end only time will tell what is going to happen. Lets wait and see what occurs in the next few years.

As we all are aware we are in the middle of a huge credit crunch. This has resulted in varo big firms cutting down on the amount of call centre staff that they employ. Only recently Sky was featured on the BBC channel Watchdog, the main complaints were against their call waiting times.

People have busy lives in this day and age and they just do not have the time to stay on the telephone for hours. When people call up a company they want to be able to hear some one else at the other end of the line instantly. There are two things that companies are doing these days:

1) They make it so hard to actually get through to a human being, they have so many options to choose from and if you end up choosing the wrong one they briefly give you a message and then hang the phone up on you, which can become extremely annoying.

2) Once you do finally start to get through to the section where you can speak to some one they leave you on hold for a few hours.

This is one of the main reasons as to why the company Sky were investigated by the Watchdogs. On one occasion they left folk hanging on hold for almost 3 hours which is a massive amount. I know companies are currently finding it hard at the moment but they need to do something before their customers begin to leave. The way around this would be for companies to get a freephone 0800 number, the reason behind this is because they could then actually show their clients that we want your call, we are just busy at the moment but if you stay on hold we are willing to pay for the entire wait.

Smartphones are developing at a tremendous rate, every single phone manufacturer is literally jumping onto the smart phone train and everyone is improving the functionality. Although the smartphones have some amazing features, there is really only one aspect that is missing which is flash. Flash is crucial if you are trying to stream things like videos.

Although some phones do come flash it has been a light version simply because the phones could not really handle the heavier. Flash is such a common piece of software, it is in reality found on numerous computers around the globe. But as we acknowledge the mobile market is expanding and more and more people are accessing the internet on the go.

By 2010 it is suggestion that flash will be fully incorporated into all phones to allow fast streaming and high definition screening of both websites and videos. The only problem at the moment seem to be with the Iphone as it will not be available for the Apple iPhone, according to Mr Muraka. “We’re going to need Apple’s cooperation,” he told BBC News. “At the moment Safari (Apple’s web browser) doesn’t support any kind of plug-in.”

It just goes to show how much phones are going to be progressing over the next coming years; they are literally going to be fully fledged media units. We are going to be able to stream any type of media file online and never miss any of our favourite soaps. We will be able to subscribe to things such as sky or free view on our phones which we can watch while in the car or on a train journey.

Telecalls are an absolute nuisance, not only are the calls wasting your time, but the people on the other end of the line want to sell you something. Another bothersome aspect is that they forever seem to call at the most ill-chosen times of the day. No matter what you say or do they still end up calling you, so what can you do to avoid these nuisance calls, let’s take a look at some of the more extreme measures you can take.

1) Tell them that they have called at the wrong time and that you are just about to eat your dinner, tell them that you genuinely want to speak to them and ask if they want to hold, put them on loud speaker and carry on to eat your dinner, like you have forgot about them.

2) Make out that you are crazy, try to say insane things to them, such as Hello Anne, I haven’t spoken to you in ages, then if they try to say its not Anne, just keep interupting them.

3) Depression is the key for the third choice; a telesales representative will always ask how you have been of what you have been doing, so in reply start telling them your life story and that nothing ever goes your way and that you feel there is no point in life.

4) Have kids, if so put them on the phone to speak to the telesales people, within a matter of a few minutes the person on the other end of the line will get the hint and hang up.

5) Finally just end up winding them up, constantly say things like can you repeat that again, or speak a bit louder I can’t hear. In the end they will just get totally fed up.
