Although this is something that I did not manage to do on purpose it was a complete accident and I am now suffering from it.

I had first dropped my iPhone onto the floor in which I was immediatly called up for a meeting. Once back from the meeting I had forgotten about the phone so i sat on my chair and slid to my desk. I had thought I has run over something but wasnt sure if it was just the floor or not so I carried on. It was certainly not just the floor.

After looking for my phone at a later stage I realised that it was on the floor and picked it up to give it the once over, everything seemed to be working fine until I looked at the back of it. The reason it cannot work is because it has become cracked just where the charger goes in so I cannot charge it. Another problem is that I had no way of getting a new one because I didn’t have iPhone insurance.

Because the iPhone has been my companion over the past few months I do not feel that I could have any other phone to do the job. I am going to have to go out and spend a lot of money to get another one. Perhaps because I am on contract they will give me a bit of a discount but I can’t see much sympathy coming from them when I haven’t for any insurance of any kind, even that gadget insurance would have sorted me out.

I am now going to go out and get I-pod insurance as there is no way I am ever taking this kind of risk again. To go out and replace all of the things I have broken over the past few months is impossible.

Smartphones are developing at a tremendous rate, every single phone manufacturer is literally jumping onto the smart phone train and everyone is improving the functionality. Although the smartphones have some amazing features, there is really only one aspect that is missing which is flash. Flash is crucial if you are trying to stream things like videos.

Although some phones do come flash it has been a light version simply because the phones could not really handle the heavier. Flash is such a common piece of software, it is in reality found on numerous computers around the globe. But as we acknowledge the mobile market is expanding and more and more people are accessing the internet on the go.

By 2010 it is suggestion that flash will be fully incorporated into all phones to allow fast streaming and high definition screening of both websites and videos. The only problem at the moment seem to be with the Iphone as it will not be available for the Apple iPhone, according to Mr Muraka. “We’re going to need Apple’s cooperation,” he told BBC News. “At the moment Safari (Apple’s web browser) doesn’t support any kind of plug-in.”

It just goes to show how much phones are going to be progressing over the next coming years; they are literally going to be fully fledged media units. We are going to be able to stream any type of media file online and never miss any of our favourite soaps. We will be able to subscribe to things such as sky or free view on our phones which we can watch while in the car or on a train journey.

For great 0800 numbers, 0871 Numbers and premium rate numbers services

Ever since people started playing music in their homes, the innovations in home sound systems have come thick and fast. From the days of all crowding around the radio to catch the odd note, to blasting out tunes that can cause earthquakes. Volume isnt everything however, and recently people have been striving better for usability and sound quality. So what are the most important developments and gadgets in modern home sound provision?

Wireless Speakers.Whilst wireless speakers have been around for a while now, they have only quite recently been produced to a quality that matches those with wires. Nobody wants cable running all around their house and wireless speakers means your tunes can be played out in any room of your home, or even outside the home. This means that if you are doing the housework or generally moving about a lot, you don’t have to drag a portable device around with you as you go.

Advanced Sub Woofers. These are basically add-ons to a sound system that provide large amounts of base. It has previously been that case that the larger the sub-woofer, the larger the base that it can produce, which has always been an issue for car owners who have wanted their vehicles to sound like a live concert in happening inside.Super sub woofers however, cleverly provide equal amounts of base power, but are greatly reduced in size, meaning they fit nicely into the corner of any room…or car for that matter. If you are brave, you could even hook one up to your stereo and use it as a very effective alarm clock.

Surround Sound. No true music fan can go back to listening to mono sound once they have experienced surround sound.Surround sound was first brought to us by a company called ‘Polk Audio’ back in the 80’s and works by projected different elements of a sound from various speakers placed around a room. All of these sounds then combine in the centre of a room and give a ’surround sound’ experience.Although surround sound has been available to the mass-markets for almost two decades, so many people are yet to embrace the technology and get the most out of their sound.

The developments in mobile phone (cell) technology, just over the last 10 years have been staggering. It wasn’t so long ago that phones were the size of small dog and had about as many functions as a light switch. Nowadays however everything is touch screen and interactive. You can receive email on your phone, take high-resolution pictures and even play online games against someone the other side of the world. However, the mobile phone is set to reach a whole new level of tech domination soon, and experts are predicting that it will be the only gadget we need to carry around with us.

Richard Kane, technology researcher at the University of Bath recently gave his opinion on how mobile phones will advance. I predict that very soon all the requirements of the modern way of life will be served by phones¦technology is getting smaller thanks to things like mini Deutsch connectors and people are becoming ever more mobile, so it make sense that people want to carry their life in their pocket.

MP3 players used to be things you had in addition to your phone, but as there is plenty of storage room in your cell these days, more and more people are using them for their music devices. The cameras in phones now are catching up normal digital cameras, and can offer mega pixel specs of up to 10.0, have a whole host of different shooting functions and again, can easily store whole photo albums. You can even browse the internet as easily as you would do on our home computer, and in fact the number of people using their phones to surf is increasing by around 100% each year.

Many people have argued that a phone will never be able to match the benefits of a large screen that home computers and televisions provide. Nokia have silenced these critics to some extent recently when they bought out a phone that could project a screen size of up to 45 inches onto the nearest wall. It seems like its out with home entertainment units and cable ties, and in with nana processers and micro fan accessories, powering some of the most power bits of kit the world has ever seen.
